Old School is a satirical ensemble play set at a 25-year reunion and fundraiser for an elite private school, where a group of former classmates, now financiers, lawyers and consultants, gather as trustees of the school’s foundation to celebrate success and secure donations while performing carefully curated versions of their lives. The event is slick on the surface but brittle underneath, with old hierarchies, grudges and insecurities still firmly in place. When a livestream is accidentally left running, private conversations, past behaviour and the reality that the trustees have been diverting donations for their own benefit are exposed in real time, triggering a frantic and often ridiculous scramble to control the narrative, shift blame and preserve reputations, all while maintaining the awkward social dynamics and distinctly British instinct to prioritise appearances over honesty.
